A lovely Christmas hanging

This hanging has to be put up in my hall every Christmas. It gives me calmness and expectation at the same time with Santa Claus with his sack and the magpies in the bushes. I was brought up with Christmas hangings in cloth or paper during December.

The hanging is embroidered on light grey woolen cloth with wool. There are mostly stem-stitches. Bought in the 90ies but probably made in the 50ies.
