A hanging with twist-stitches

Twist-stitches were already made in the 12th century. In the Middle Ages church textiles were made with these stitches. The stitches were very popular in the 1970ies.

I think that simple geometric patterns are very nice. Here is a fine hanging in red and blue with black outlines.
